“You…kept me going.” — Smallville/Superman 700

“The only thing that’s ever made me feel normal is you.”  - Clark Kent to Lois Lane [Smallville; “Scion”]

For Chan. -A

ED: I had to like squeeze… y’know, trying to make it look romantic.
KS: We finally get some sexy-sexy between Clark and Lois.
ED: What everyone’s been looking forward to.
KS: How hard is it to kiss someone and make it look romantic with an entire crew watching?
ED: It’s just very surreal and kind of ridiculous. It’s just SO technical and all these weird things…and you’ve got your clothes…like you’re wrapped in a sheet, but there’s ten layers and there’s tape in places.
BP: Do you talk about it or just go for it?
ED: I’m a believer in just getting to the truth and the matter. So it’s like, what are we doing, what are we trying to create in this scene, what’s happening and like, really get down to business.
KS: The chemistry is really incredible.

Clark: “You okay?”
Lois: “Yeah. Talk about sweeping a girl off her feet.”

“Do you love this man?”

since1938:

This parallel is perfect, that’s what it is, and I applaud the writers for making it.  These two women have been so important in Clark’s journey and they represent something very important for the Smallville mythos in particular: Clark’s longing for love and acceptance and the realization of that love and acceptance.  In the Pilot gifs, this is a fantasy Clark has after the homecoming debacle where he didn’t get to dance with his dream girl.  That was the perfect moment he didn’t get to have.  But those Finale gifs right there—he is walking down the aisle to marry the love of his life (Clark’s words), this woman that accepts all of him without qualification, who sees both his human and Kryptonian sides as equally amazing parts of him (Abandoned), his equal in every way that matters and she loves him as unconditionally as he loves her.  It’s the actualization of his perfect moment from the Pilot.  He got everything he dreamed of.  And I was crying like a baby for my boy who is now a man.
